The best way to experience the stunning beauty of the Borrowdale Valley is, of course, by visiting But our gallery will give you a taste of the surroundings. This is a rugged, diverse and unspoilt area . The lure here is the outdoors not the gift shops of Windermere or Coniston.

Our Facilities

We have consciously chosen not to have electric on site . Therefore there are no queues for noisy hairdryers . No washing machines or mod cons at all . We are basic, traditional camping in a site that best reflects the surroundings.
